Rudy Gernreich, At Los Angeles Nomadic Division /Italian Cultural centre

Written and Prepared by: Sally Steiner

Celebrity Hair Stylist, Sean James and Celebrity Makeup Artist, Sharon Gault dazzled as the key artists Saturday night, February 04th in a tribute fashion show honoring the late legendary fashion designer, Rudi Gernreich Owned and collected by Audrey Morehead, organized by LAND (LOS ANGELES NOMADIC DIVISION). The Opus Beauty glam dream team, which also included Opus Beauty’s very own Garret Gervais, Makeup Forever Artist Shyann Swisher and additional artists Sally Steiner, Perry V and Nicole Bennett for makeup, all celebrated the hit show over champagne toasts. Together they recreated a retro look that echoed the iconic Peggy Moffitt.
Sean James trusted no other than Rene Furterer Paris who was the first sponsor attaching themself to the event. Their Essential Hair Care System was superb for the models walking the show to heal dryness and provide penetrative moisture care, hold and shine to their 60's retro tresses, which were originated and inspired by Vidal Sassoon. Products used to create the look were:
· Vegetal Mousse for Control and Flexibility
· Naturia Dry Shampoo to add Texture to those fine haired girls
· Glossing Spray for Shine
· Vegetal Finishing Spray to finish
Some of the models’ hair was pre-cut at Fred Segal Salon by Sean James. Others were trimmed backstage. Only two wigs were used and cut to fit the retro look of the rest of the models.
When Sharon was asked, “Who will you be bringing in to represent for makeup?” the answer was simple: Makeup Forever. Before securing the glam team into place, preparing for the look, or coordinating glam coordination detailing, Sharon got her models camera-ready by securing Makeup Forever Sponsorship. Below is the complete product breakdown of the staples she required to create the radiant complexion and dramatic theatrical retro look for the show:
Skin:
HD Face + Body
HD Concealer
Sculpting Kit
Cheeks:
Sculpting Blush (Satin Light Peach, Matte Fawn, Matte Sienna)
Eyes:
Aqua Liner (Diamond White, Mat Black)
Kohl Pencil (1k Black)
Smoky Lash (01 Black)
Aqua Eyes (14L White)
Aqua Black Cream Eye shadow
Aqua Cream Liner (01 Matte Black)

Pearly Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil (Metallic White)
Satiny Eye shadow (Pale Rust, Copper Fawn)

Lashes (#25051 and #25151)

Lips:
Aqua Lip liner Pencil (Nude Beige 1C, Medium Natural Beige 3C)
Lipstick (1 Matte Flesh, 22 Satin Nude)
Makeup Forever products were the perfect source to create the look of youthful, healthier looking skin. Their highly pigmented colors provided a dramatic difference. By infusing the variation of pencils with cream and liquid liners, the Peggy Moffitt look was reinvigorated offering long lasting wear with the perfect retro touch.
Lastly, thank you to Shamim M. Momin, Co-Founder AND CURATOR OF LAND (Los Angeles Nomadic Division) for putting together an iconic show and trusting the contributions of Opus Beauty’s talent team.
