Sean James, Bio.


Sean James was born and raised in Australia, where his career as a hairstylist began to flourish when he trained with Australia's leading hairstylist Oscar Cullinan. In 1989, Sean moved to London where he trained with Vidal Sassoon. A few years later in 1992, Sean moved to Los Angeles, where he became an educator and color specialist working at the Los Angeles Flagship store for L’Oreal. In 2001, Sean was brought on as a valued member of the prestigious creative team for Redken, where he began doing many years of fashion weeks in Los Angeles, New York, and Paris.
Sean has worked with celebrities such as Jaime Pressly, Jamie Lee Curtis, Rufus Wainwright, Emily Blunt, Rita Wilson, Rhada Mitchell, Lindsay Lohan, Uma Therman, Holly Valance, Jamie Chung ,Leonard Cohen ,Teddy Thompson Dylan & Cole Sprouse and many more. He works consistently on films, commercials, television, advertising campaigns, and he is sought after all over the world.

Most recently, Sean was a member of the exclusive Balmain team as the US representative at Paris Fashion week. He Lead the RUSK team for the Monarchy collection at NY fashion week, He has been featured on the E! network, the Style network, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and MTV’s The Hills and is currently on the style networks "How Do I Look ". He has also been featured in world renowned publications such as Harper’ Bazaar, InStyle, WWD, The New York Times, and More, just to name a few.

Most recently Sean in involved in a giving back to the community project , which he created executive produced and co wrote with Seth Shellhouse , called" Halfway Home", a makeover show for people graduating from assisted living , and getting their lives back on Track .
Seans’s adventures in hair are ongoing and groundbreaking as he continues to have a drive to explore the new and exciting ways to express inner beauty through the ever growing medium of hair. Sean’s mantra as a true artist is "explore yourself and express your inner beauty."

Cole Sprouse Haircut tutorial

 CELEBRITY HAIRSTYLIST ,SEAN JAMES, does a tutorial doing Cole Sprouse's hair . Released today on YouTube and his insta  @seanjameshair . Sean takes us through  his technique of cutting Coles hair  for  His character Jughead on Riverdale at the Matthew Preece salon , the introduction begins in the room that  colored Coles hair at his house.   He then takes us through his techniques. Connecting the hair to the shorter lengths ,he demonstrates how to over direct the hair  to keep the length  for the fringe / bangs as they talk and catch up . http://vevo.ly/mmZ9dS http://vevo.ly/mmZ9dS It was an amazing 3 days on set with Al Getting to do the hair on such a spectacular visual treat was really exciting , I was like a kid in a candy store and Al was a a delight to work for he not only starred , It took about 3 days of prep before hand but it all paid off . Produced By Sisco . Directed and starring Al Yankovich My self and Maxi The makeup artist where doing 15 min changes , as Al was putting on his elaborate costumes , one made entirely out of Steak the wig with the cold cuts had to be kept in the fridge :0 , & Al's a vegetarian !
