​Courtney Loves   SWAROVSKI YEARS ✨ By Sean James I created these hair looks for Courtney Love during the years I worked with her. Look closely and you’ll see Swarovski crystals individually glued throughout her hair. This was a look Courtney and I came up with together, and it became something I started seeing everywhere. Hair and beauty stores began selling crystals, strands and accessories specifically designed to add sparkle to the hair — something that was definitely not commonplace when we first did this. The inspiration actually went further back for me, to old Hollywood and stories of Marilyn Monroe using tiny flecks of gold in her hair to catch the light. I loved the idea of taking that kind of glamour and giving it a completely Courtney, rock-and-roll treatment. I loved working with Courtney.
